Terms and Conditions

Il Campo Cucina is a certified California Seller of Travel, registration number  2100630-40. Registration as a seller of travel does not constitute approval by the State of California.

Il Campo Cucina accepts reservations subject to these Terms and Conditions:

  • Because of the exclusive and intimate nature of this trip, registration is limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis (determined by payment of deposit). A deposit of $1,000.00 per person and your completed and signed booking form is required to reserve a place. Space is limited, so early reservations are advised.
  • Cancellation for any reason is subject to a $500 processing fee.
  • The balance for our Culinary Adventure tours is due no later than 90 days before the program begins.
  • Because the Palio Adventure tour requires significant deposits paid to tour providers well in advance of the tour, the balance for the August 10-17 Palio Adventure is due in two parts: half of the  balance is due on January 10 and the remaining balance is due May 10.
  • Cancellation more than 90 days prior to the starting date of any tour will result in a 50% forfeiture of the entire cost of the trip; cancellation 90 days or less from the starting date of the tour will result in forfeiture of the full cost of the trip.
  • Price as published for each tour is inclusive of tour accommodations, tuition, excursions, all meals, wines, and ground transportation during your week with Il Campo Cucina. Il Campo Cucina is not responsible for any other expenses, including travel agent fees,  hotel, airfare, and other ground transportation. Prices do not include optional trips or transfers to and from Radicondoli at unscheduled times and locations.
  • Price is quoted on a double occupancy basis. Single room supplements are as published, if space is available. The single room supplement normally includes a private bathroom; if we are unable to provide a private bath with your private room, we will inform you and the supplement will be discounted by half.
  • If requested, Il Campo Cucina will try to find another participant to share a double room with you.
  • Upon receipt of your deposit, Il Campo Cucina will send you a confirmation, provided space is available, and frequently requested information regarding itinerary, transfers, dress, etc.
  • Il Campo Cucina reserves the right to cancel any program should a minimum number of participants not be reached. The refund of all payments received from you shall release Il Campo Cucina from any liability to you.
  • The quoted price for your tour is based on current costs and foreign exchange rates and is therefore subject to change. If there is a price change, you will be notified with a full refund guaranteed if you choose to cancel.
  • The itinerary has been meticulously planned for your enjoyment. However, the agenda may be subject to change (including the changing of cooking instructors, lodging accommodations and planned excursions), and will not alter the terms of this Agreement.
  • When possible, we will allow cancellations to be rebooked at a later date for a rebooking fee of $500 plus any difference in price between the original week and the new week booked.

Services provided in connection with the trip, such as lodging, cooking classes, meals and excursions, are rendered by independent contractors who are not agents or employees of Il Campo Cucina. Il Campo Cucina arranges for these services only as agent for the individual participant. Participants expressly agree that Il Campo Cucina shall not be liable for any delay, mishap, inconvenience, expense, bodily injury or death or damage to property occasioned through the acts, negligence or defaults of any company or individual engaged in providing the services arranged by Il Campo Cucina. Il Campo Cucina shall not be liable, directly or indirectly, for any injury, death or damage for any reason whatsoever.

We want you to have a safe and fun trip. Il Campo Cucina small group culinary tours are for travelers with an interest in experiencing the authentic way of life in rustic villages and farms in relatively undiscovered areas of Italy.  While it is not a requirement to undertake rigorous fitness regimens to join most of our tours, traveling with us does require a capacity and willingness to engage in physical activity.  All of our trips require walking up to 1-2 miles each day and general mobility. Travelers must be able to walk reasonable distances unassisted, negotiate uneven surfaces and climb stairs. Many of our guest apartments have stairs between rooms. Since Tuscan villages often require parking outside of town and walking into the center, we urge you to wear comfortable shoes. You are expected to pack appropriately for the season as well as possible unexpected fluctuations in weather. A suggested packing list will be provided to you approximately six weeks prior to your trip. Il Campo Cucina cannot adjust group activities to suit unusual needs or conditions, but we may be able to accommodate your special needs, with some advance planning.  If you have any questions at all about your ability to participate, please don’t hesitate to call and discuss them with us.
