Marlane Agriesti Miriello, an Italian-American writer and former college textbook editor, founded Il Campo Cucina while researching the sustainable traditions of her adopted village in the Siena province of Tuscany, Radicondoli. She followed her passion for Tuscan food to the source–the women and men who keep the traditions of their ancestors alive each day in their own kitchens and gardens.
Marlane has a master of arts degree in English literature from New York University and worked in publishing for twenty years. She is now writing a memoir about her experiences in Tuscany starting a cooking school, and how this unexpected adventure changed her life from the ground up. She is a dual citizen of Italy and the US and lives in Radicondoli and San Diego.
